The Corn Mill.

Sitting in a glorious corner of West Yorkshire, Corn Mill Farm is now one of the elite properties in this much sought after area.

Corn Mill is exactly that, with the original water wheel and mill pond part of the restoration.

The renovation and rebuild of old corn mill and farm buildings converted into a single 11,500 ft² property. This large project saw the inclusive of ICF of both the new build and rebuild elements of the project, a chosen method for its speed of construction as well as its added thermal benefits. As well as the external outer walls the property also included the use of ICF for the swimming pool and also the grand curved staircase.

This project went onto win a number of awards, including international award from ICF builder awards, the Build It Live awards for best ICF home and runner up of the West Yorkshire LABC Building Excellence Awards  .

The property boasts not just the mill pond but also a fishing lake, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, gym, wine cellar, maids quarters, multiple bi-folding doors to take in the views, a snooker room with an inglenook fireplace large enough to roast an ox; plus a whole host of unique features all encased in a low energy shell, insulated with Nudura Retrofit insulation panels, Jackodur Atlas raft, plus a full Triton damp proofing programme to keep the mill pond in the mill pond.

Corn Mill’s fantastic renovation design was created by the architects Studio Map Ltd, who are based in Harrogate. The Corn Mill project was the runner up in the West Yorkshire LABC Building Excellence Awards 2016, in the ‘Restoration and Conversion- Small Projects’ category!

This project was completed on target at the end of 2015.
