Do You Have A Project We Can Help With?

Jackon Thermomur®.

Jackon are the leading Norwegian manufacturer of ICF building materials. The Thermomur® range of ICF blocks have been designed with 35 years of experience and a focus on thermal efficiency, to survive the harshest of Scandinavian winters. Bringing this innovative technology to the UK, ICF Building Solutions can utilise the years of perfecting and expertise from some of the most renowned international ICF construction specialists.

Thermomur® is an ICF building system based on moulded blocks of expanded polystyrene (EPS), Jackopor®. Thermomur® blocks are very light, easy to work with and the walls are built quickly and solidly on site. The blocks are stacked as bricks, reinforced then filled with concrete. Buildings set up in Thermomur® require little maintenance and are extremely durable. Thermomur®‘s unique design allows us to meet ever demanding thermal insulation and air tightness standards with the minimum of additional components and construction processes.

Thermomur® 350-series provides a two sided thermal insulated, airtight construction which offers optimum energy efficiency, excellent sound reduction and fire protection for domestic buildings, such as multi-storey houses. The Thermomur® 350-series satisfies the new changes to Part L of Building regulations.

The Thermomur® product range is BBA certified.

ICF Blocks.

Jackon Thermomur® 200

A finished wall with double-sided insulation without cold bridges.

  • The blocks are 200 mm wide and have 50 mm insulation on both sides of the 100 mm thick core of the concrete.
  • Thermomur® 200 has moulded-in plastic binders that have fixing points that can be screwed directly into. It is designed to fit perfectly in fit with the other Thermomur® series.
  • These blocks have a U-value of 0.31 and are typically used for small commercial buildings, internal walls or garages where 100mm of reinforced concrete is sufficient.

Jackon Thermomur® 250x

Moulded elements of Jackopor® (EPS)

  • The blocks are 250 mm wide and have 50 mm insulation on both sides of the 150 mm thick core that is filled with concrete.
  • Thermomur® 250x has moulded-in plastic binders that have fixing points that can be screwed directly into.
  • With a solid concrete core of 150 mm, it has better sound-absorbing properties and fire classification REI 60.
  • Typically, in the UK the Thermomur® 250x is used for internal load-bearing walls.

Jackon Thermomur® 350

The standard and most utilised block.

  • The blocks are 350 mm wide and have 100 mm insulation on both sides of the 150 mm thick core in concrete.
  • Jackon Thermomur® 350 has moulded-in plastic binders that have fixing points that can be screwed directly into.
  • These blocks have a U-value of 0.17 that exceeds the part L buildings regulations set for energy requirements.

Jackon Thermomur® 350HD

The heavy duty block.

  • The blocks are 350 mm wide and have 75 mm insulation on both sides of the 200 mm thick core in concrete.
  • The 200 mm reinforced concrete core enables higher backfilling and larger spans between retaining walls – hence the name “Heavy Duty.”
  • Jackon Thermomur® 350 HD is typically used for basements, below ground footings, swimming pools, cold stores and wine cellars.
  • The 150 mm insulation gives a U-value of 0.22 and achieves a U-value of 0.18 at 2 meters backfill.

Jackon Thermomur® 350 Super

Moulded elements of Jackon Super® (EPS)

  • The blocks are 350 mm wide and have 100 mm insulation on both sides of the 150 mm thick core in concrete.
  • Jackon Thermomur® 350 Super has moulded-in plastic binders that have fixing points that can be screwed directly into.
  • With added graphite, the block provides 20% better insulation. These blocks have a U-value of 0.15 meeting Passivhaus requirements.

Jackon Thermomur® 450

Energy saving and comfort.

  • Jackon Thermomur® 450 consists of shaped blocks in Jackopor® (EPS) and gives you a finished wall with double-sided insulation without cold bridges.
  • The blocks are 450 mm wide. The inner insulation is 100 mm thick and the outer insulation is 200 mm thick. The core is 150 mm of reinforced concrete.
  • Jackon Thermomur® 450 has moulded-in plastic binders that have fixing points that can be screwed directly into.
  • This gives a U-value of 0.11 which makes it a new alternative for low-energy houses.
